  • Summer (mid-April to June) 

In summer, the day temperature is around 12°C to 18°C. However, during the night temperature goes from 0°C to 5°C. This means the days are much warmer than the nights. In summer, the Phulara Ridge Trek seems picture-perfect as the mountains are covered with snow and the trails have snow patches all over. This weather is mostly opt for families, as in summer it is neither too warm nor too cold. However, the meadows start turning lush green, and the flowers start blooming. 

  • Autumn (September to November) 

In Autumn, the temperature during the day is 10°C to 15°C and during the night it's -2°C to 4°C. The weather during the autumn season can be a little colder than the summer season. So, take that as a note in your packing stuff. During the autumn season, the air becomes crisp and the sky offers you colours like yellow and orange. Hence, it converts the view ideal one for taking pictures. However, during the night, the sky is so clear that you can do some stargazing and have peace throughout the trek. 

Itinerary for Phulara Ridge Trek

We all know that proper planning can help us reach our goals. Therefore, if we plan our trek with proper knowledge and have an itinerary for each day, we can complete the Phulara Ridge Trek without many hurdles. Thus, having information about each day plays a crucial role in the trek. Here is a day-by-day itinerary planned for you. 

Day 1: Going from Dehradun to Sankri 

There is a 200km distance from Dehradun to Sankri, which means I can take about 8 to 10 hours to drive to Sankri village. In the meantime, the route will take you through Mussoorie, Purola, and Mori, which are popular hill stations. However, when you reach Sankri, you can rest in the hotel/homestay and be ready for the next day. 

Day 2: trekking day from Sankri to Juda Ka Talab (Sikolta) 

Today you have a trek of 9km, which must take 5-6 hours to reach to camps. On the 2nd day of the Phulara Ridge Trek, you will cover the vast forest of pine and maple with colourful wildflowers like Rhododendrons, also known as Buransh, Iris, and Blue Poppy. After completing the trek, you will rest at the Sikolta campsite.

Day 3: Sikolta to Bhoj Gadi 

This trek has a Steady ascent, which takes around 4 hours to complete. During the trek, you will encounter a small bridge with a stream flowing under the bridge. However, the trail is filled with Oak trees and rhododendron flowers. At the end of the trail, you must see a glance of Kedarkantha peak with the beautiful sunset. 

Day 4: Trek from Bhoj Gadi to Pushtara via Phulara Ridge. 

This is a 6-hour-long trek. However, the 4th day trek will let you go through the sharp ridge hence, this is the main day. You will get a 360-degree view of snow-capped peaks like Swargarohini and Dev Kyara Valley. 

Day 5: Trek from Pushtara to Taluka and then drive to Sankri. 

Today is the last day of trekking, which is 5 hours from Pushtara to Taluka, along with 1 1-hour drive to Sankri village. The trek is surrounded by large pine trees, and on the 5th day of the Phulara Ridge Trek, you will see a small village. Which is built very alluring, moreover, after finishing the trek, there is a 1-hour-long drive to Sankri. 

Day 6: back to Dehradun from Sankri

Today, pack your memories along with your stuff because you have to go back to your hectic schedule. So, take as much peace and pictures as required.
