The Pir Panjal range in Himachal Pradesh is a heavenly and beautiful group of mountains in which Mt. Deo Tibba is the 2nd highest peak of the range after Mt Indrasan. It is located near Jagatsukh village known for its ancient temple and festivals. In Kullu, Deo Tibba looks clear and huge in the skyline. 

Most Himalayan peaks have sharp pointed summits. Deo Tibba is different because it has a vast snow dome. It looks like an ice cap resting high above the valley. This unique summit formation gives the mountain a distinctive appearance. It also creates a technical challenge for climbers.

Mythological Significance of Deo Tibba

Local Hindu belief describes Deo Tibba as the assembly site for the gods, or devtas. They gather there to talk about important matters. Indra is the Lord of Weather and War. He presides from the nearby Indrasan Peak. This mythological connection gives the mountain a spiritual aura that locals deeply respect.

The expedition starts from the beautiful Jagatsukh village. It is an ancient village which has many ancient temples and hot springs. Where you will soak local Himachali culture. You will go through dense pine and birch forests. Slowly you transit from green forest into grassland or alpine meadows till here you have done trekking. Now stepping into mountaineering. You will see glacier valleys and rocky paths.

5. Dramatic Glacier & Ice Cap Terrain

The mountain has an extensive ice cap and heavily glaciated sections. In which you    gain experience of team rope movement on glacier, and make snow anchors. You will set your camps on snow. And from camp 1 to summit camp you will load ferry means take all essentials to summit camp that will all your strength and endurance.

  6. Gain physical and mental fitness     

This mountain is  6000 metres. That needs physical and mental fitness. But after completing this expedition you will confident of your technical skills and endurance.
